Manufacturing

From ingot to inspected part.

Vacuum induction melting → hydrogen decrepitation → jet milling → press in magnetic field → vacuum sintering → heat treatment → machining → surface coating → magnetizing → final inspection. Each step is process-controlled and recorded against your batch ID.

  • Vacuum sintering furnaces up to 10 per Ningbo site
  • 200+ slicing machines across the network
  • Multi-pole magnetizing fixtures (up to 24 poles)
  • In-house dimensional, magnetic and coating inspection
Applications

Where our NdFeB goes.

  • EV Traction Motors

High-energy-density grades with Hcj ratings matched to motor operating temperature.

  • Wind Turbine Generators

Large-format sintered blocks with tight magnetic uniformity across the array.

  • Industrial Servo Motors

Tight tolerance arc segments for surface-mount rotor assemblies.

  • Consumer Electronics

Miniature discs and rings for speakers, haptic motors, sensors.

  • Magnetic Couplings

Hermetic, non-contact torque transfer with zero leakage path.

  • MRI & Medical

    Controlled-purity grades with project-specific documentation.

Specification guide

Choose NdFeB with the application in view.

NdFeB is usually selected when the package needs high magnetic output in a small volume. Grade, geometry, working temperature, corrosion environment and the demagnetizing field must be reviewed together.

A good fit when

The material earns its place.

  • High flux density in a compact envelope
  • Motor, actuator and sensor designs with a defined air gap
  • Applications where an engineered magnetic circuit can use the available energy product
  • Projects that need a broad range of shapes, orientations and coatings
Check before release

Resolve these trade-offs early.

  • The grade's maximum working temperature is not a substitute for a thermal design review
  • Corrosion protection must match humidity, chemicals, assembly process and edge exposure
  • Thin sections, sharp corners and open magnetic circuits can increase irreversible loss risk
  • Coating, magnetizing direction and adhesive compatibility should be frozen before PPAP
RFQ preparation

Give engineering the information that changes the answer.

A drawing alone may not define the magnetic requirement. These inputs help us recommend the right grade, geometry, coating and inspection plan instead of quoting a generic part.

01

Working point

Share the air gap, pole geometry, target flux or force, and the nearby steel path. A grade number alone is not enough to confirm performance.

02

Temperature profile

Provide continuous, peak and dwell temperatures at the magnet, not only the ambient temperature. Include start-up and fault conditions when relevant.

03

Surface environment

State humidity, salt, chemicals, vacuum, cleaning agents and whether the finished part will be edge-sealed or encapsulated.

04

Magnetizing and assembly

Show orientation, pole count, adhesive, insertion force, fixturing and any shock or high-speed loads applied after magnetizing.

Acceptance planning

Define the evidence before the first production order.

Inspection scope should follow the failure mode. We can align the report format, sample quantity and release criteria during drawing review.

01

Magnetic performance

Agree on the measured property, test method, sample quantity and acceptance band for Br, Hcj, flux, pull force or torque.

02

Temperature verification

For H, SH, UH or EH selections, define the temperature exposure and the post-exposure magnetic acceptance criterion.

03

Coating and corrosion

Confirm coating system, thickness range, adhesion method and environmental test requirement before production release.

04

Dimensional release

Identify critical faces, datum scheme, flatness, chamfer and coating allowance so the inspection report matches the drawing.

Buyer questions

The short version before you send a drawing.

Is N52 always the best choice?

No. The highest nominal energy product may not be the best choice once temperature, coercivity, cost, corrosion protection and working point are considered. We recommend selecting against the magnetic circuit and operating profile.

Can you supply high-temperature NdFeB?

High-temperature grades can be reviewed for the application. The suitable grade depends on the magnet temperature and required irreversible-loss margin; confirm the exact grade and limits during engineering review.

What should I send for a quotation?

A drawing, material or grade preference, magnetizing direction, operating temperature, environment, annual volume, first order quantity and any inspection or coating requirements.
